«APODOSIS» OF THE FEAST OF EASTER
Attendance of the Holy Liturgy at the All-holy church of the Resurrection and visit to the reception hall of the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Jerusalem. A pilgrimage with a guided tour will follow to the All-holy church of the Resurrection (Holy Sepulchre, Horrendus Golgotha, etc.). Return to Bethlehem. Οn the way visits to the Monasteries of the Holy Cross, and St. Symeon the God-Receiver.
FEAST OF THE ASCENSION OF THE LORD
Attendance of the Formal Holy Liturgy at the site of the Ascension of the Lord. Visits to the Holy Shrines on the Mount of Olives, and on Zion hill. Return to Bethlehem and visits to the church and cave of the Nativity, to the cave of Infants, and to the Shepherds’ field.
Visit to the Jericho area. Holy Monastery of Wadi El Kelt, Jordan River (Blessing of the waters “Hagiasmos”), Holy Monastery of St. Jerasimos the Jordanite, Holy Monastery of Prophet Elisha, and Mt. of Temptation. Departure for Jerusalem. Visits to the street of Martyrdom and to Gethesmane. Return to Bethlehem.
Full day visit to Galilee and Samaria. Mt. Tabor, Nazareth, Kana of Galilee, Capernaum and Smaria (Neapolis-Nablus). Return to Bethlehem.
23:30 Hrs. – Transfer to Jerusalem (old city)
MIDNIGHT – Holy vigil at the Holy Sepulchre (optional).
03:30 Hrs. – Transfer to the Hotel in Bethlehem.
11:00 Hrs. – Departure with luggage. Visits to the Monasteries of St. Sabba the Sanctified and St. Theodosius the Cenobiarch. Transfer to Tel Aviv Airport and afternoon Flight to Athens.
