Evening assembly at Spata Airport.
After Midnight: Flight to Tel Aviv. Arrival, and departure for Bethlehem. On the way visit to Lydda (Holy Monastery of Saint George the Holy Great Martyr), to the new city of Jerusalem (Monasteries of the Holy Cross and of St. Symeon the God-Receiver), and to Mt. Zion (Upper Room – Mystical Supper). Check-in at a hotel in Bethlehem.
Full day visit to the regions of Galilee and Samaria. Nazareth (church of the Annunciation), Cana of Galilee (first miracle of Jesus) and Mt. Tabor. Return to Bethlehem and on the way visit to the Holy Monastery of St. Fotini (Jacob’s well) in Samaria.
Full day visit to the Jericho area. Bethany, Holy Monastery of Saint Georges in Chozeva (Wadi El Kelt), Jordan River (blessing of the waters “Hagiasmos”), Monastery of St. Jerasimos the Jordanite, Monastery of the Prophet Elisha and Mt. of Temptation.
Morning visits to the church of the Nativity, to the Shepherds’ fields and to the Monasteries of St. Theodosius the Cenobiarch and Lavra (Monastery) of St. Savvas the Sanctified. Afternoon visit to the old city of Jerusalem and to the Most Holy Church of the Resurrection (Holy Sepulchre, Chapel of the Holy Cross, etc.).
UNIVERSAL EXALTATION OF THE VENERABLE CROSS
Attendance of the Formal Divine Liturgy and Ceremony of the Elevation of the Holy Cross, at the most Holy Church of the Resurrection and the Golgota presided by His Beatitude the Patriarch of Jerusalem THEOFILOS III.
Free time in Jerusalem and in the afternoon visit to the Mt. of Olives.
Morning visit to the street of Martyrdom (Saint Veronica’s house, Praetorion, Prison of Christ, etc.), to Gethesmane (Holy Shrine of the Mother of God, to the garden of betrayal and prayer and to the church of the First Martyr Stephen).
Free time in Jerusalem and transfer to Tel Aviv Airport. Afternoon/Evening Flight to Athens.
