Itinerary

DAY 1
ATHENS - CAESAREA
Morning Fight to Caesarea via an intermediate station. Arrival in Caesarea and direct tour of the Capital of Cappadocia and birthplace of Saint Basil. City center, squares, mosques and the historic Castle. Transfer to Prokopion and on the way passage with stops at Moutalaski and Kermira. Check-in at a hotel in Prokopion.
DAY 2
KARVALI - PERISTREMMA - MALAKOPI
(Very early in the morning for those who wish to take part in a hot air balloon flight.).

Guided tour of Karvali as well as to the valley of Peristremma (Ihlara). Visits to the underground cities of Malakopi (Derinkuyu), and to the church of Saint Theodores.

DAY 2
DAY 3
PROKOPION - SOANDOS - SINASSOS
Guided tour of Prokopion and the place (sacred monument) where St. John the Russian lived (today’s Kayakapı area).

Visits to Soandon and to Sinassos.
DAY 4
KORAMA - ZELVI - AVANOS
Breakfast and visits to the Byzantine Fortress of Potamia (Ortahisar) and the Fortress of Uts Hisar. Then visits to Korama(Göreme), to the valleys Zelvi(Zelve) and Cavusin where we will also see the church where Nikephoros Phokas was crowned Emperor, as well as to Avanon.

DAY 4
DAY 5
CAESAREA - ATHENS
Breakfast and departure with luggage. Free time in Caesarea for a walk and for shopping. Transfer to Caesarea airport. Flight to Athens via an intermediate station.
