Morning flight to Tel Aviv. Arrival and transfer to Jerusalem. On the way visit to the Holy Monastery of St. Georges the Trophy-bearer in Lydda.
16:30 Hrs. – Cutting of St. Basil’s Pie in the hall of the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Jerusalem. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.
Transfer to Bethlehem, check in at the hotel, dinner and overnight.
MIDNIGHT – Holy vigil at the Holy Sepulcher (optional).
NEW YEAR’S DAY
Visit to the old city of Jerusalem. Veneration at the All Holy church of the Resurrection, at the path of Martyrdom and at Gethsemane. Then visit to the Hill of Zion (where the Mystical Supper was held) and return to Bethlehem.
Full day visit to the area of Bethlehem. Holy Monastery of St. Theodosius the Cenobiarch, Lavra of St. Savvas the Sanctified (prohibited entry for women), Shepherds’ Fields and the church of the Nativity of The Lord (Cave of the Nativity and cave of the infants).
Departure with luggage. Full day visit of the greater region of the Galilee. Nazareth (church of the Annunciation of the Theotokos), Cana of Galilee, Mt. Tabor, Capernaum and city of Tiberius. Departure to Jerusalem. Check in at a hotel in Jerusalem.
Visits to Bethany and to the Holy Monastery of Hozevas. Return to Jerusalem and visit to the Mount of Olives.
FOREFEAST OF THEOPHANY
Morning Visits to the Mount of Temptations and to the Holy Monastery of St. Gerasimos the Jordanite. Τransfer to the River Jordan. Attendance of the ceremony of the Great Blessing of the waters, at the point where our Lord was baptized. Then visit to the city of Jericho and the Holy Monastery the the Profit Elisha (sycamore fig-tree of Zacchaeus).
Return to Jerusalem.
MIDNIGHT – Holy vigil at the Holy Sepulcher (optional).
FEAST OF THE THEOPHANY
Service of the Great Sanctification of the Water and Divine Liturgy in the All Holy Church of the Resurrection presided by His Beatitude the Patriarch of Jerusalem Theophilos III.
Visits to the Holy Monasteries of the Holy Cross and St. Symeon the God bearer and ransfer to Tel Aviv Airport. Afternoon flight to Athens.
